Kennet's practice is focused on criminal misdemeanors and serious traffic offenses with an emphasis in Washington DUI defense. No matter how simple or complicated the case, he approaches them all with the single goal of achieving the best possible outcome for his clients. Whether it is in the backroom negotiating with the prosecutor or in open court arguing before a judge and jury, he is an effective voice and commanding presence.
Kennet graduated summa cum laude from Eastern Washington University, where he was appointed by Gov. Gary Locke to serve on the Board of Trustees of EWU. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the Washington State Senate as a legislative aide to several state Senators. Kennet earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). While there, in addition to his legal studies, he served as an associate editor of a nationally-recognized law journal.

In 2006, Kennet entered private practice dedicated to defending the rights of the criminally accused. He has appeared regularly in district and municipal courts around the Puget Sound, advocating zealously on behalf of his clients.
